WIAW: Solo Weekend

SkylarSeptember 24, 2014

Linking up today for What I Ate Wednesday! This weekend I spent mostly by myself so here’s an insight to what I ate and the thought processes that went into these sometimes laborious decisions. During the week I eat pretty healthy, but weekends are when I “let loose.” So hang on this WIAW is a wild ride. Sometimes I’m a bit sarcastic too.

Fall into Good Habits: WIAW

Friday Breakfast: Friday morning I woke up with a set plan that I would go to my favorite coffee shop and enjoy some quiet time with myself. I drove my happy self there and ordered a cinnamon sugar bagel with 1/2 peanut butter and 1/2 strawberry cream cheese. A cappuccino was my drink of choice. It was little too strong for me, but it looks good in pictures.

Friday Snack: To be honest I don’t remember if I had a Quest bar snack on Friday or Saturday, but we’ll go with Friday. Cookies & Cream Quest Bar (AKA Oreo Heaven in My Mouth) with a side spoon of peanut butter that is always necessary for dipping.

Friday Night: I usually have pizza once every weekend. I returned home from CrossFit with these pizza related questions. Do I want to make my own? No. No that takes too much time. So I’ll pick one up. Grocery store for frozen or pizza place for hot n’ ready? My stomach answered that with a grumble. Okay so Domino’s, Dion’s, or Pizza Hut? PIZZA HUT! Yeah that was an abrupt answer. I’m pretty simple when it comes to pizza. Pepperoni is my go-to. No I did not eat the whole box in one sitting.

Saturday Night: The area I live in had decided that the weather was gonna be a throwback to hot, simmering August on Saturday. After an afternoon and early evening of being out in the sun tailgating for a football game, a cool restaurant with filling food was calling our name. Brisket Quesadilla for me with fries.

Sunday Lunch: The only groceries I had at home would have made me a peanut butter sandwich. So I got a Dion’s sandwich. Turkey & Green Chile with some other non-important items on wheat. I didn’t eat much of my side salad because I basically had a salad going on inside my sandwich.

That’s all for today!! Hopefully the weather starts cooling down here so I have a desire to start eating more “fall” foods!

What have you been eating lately? Any fall foods making an appearance on your plate yet?

OMG I haven’t had pizza in forever and I’m just staring drooling in my living room at it. I really want a slice of it. I may have to get some pizza this weekend on my treat day lol

I love french toast but I almost never have it! I love it with sourdough bread. I’m trying to hold off on the pumpkin until October, but then all bets are off.

I’m trying to wait until October too before I dive into the pumpkin stuff since it’s still a little warm here!

Oh, my sweet granddaughter! I remember when all you would eat is pancakes slathered in peanut butter and syrup and grill cheese sandwiches. I am so proud of you and your healthy eating habits..most of the time..and how you are not afraid to try anything as long as it has mini chocolate chips and peanut butter! LOL! Keep blogging for I am loving it!
