Happy Monday!! I redesigned my blog this weekend so yes this is still the same blog and I’m still the same blogger just with a new look. So let’s begin the weekend happenings.
Happenings
//I evidently took some pictures of myself this weekend.
//I flipped tires for the first time at CrossFit on Saturday. Thankfully it was a partner workout, so I had some assistance. The tire flipping resulted in a light black dusting on my arms and legs. So when I went to Hobby Lobby and Walgreens I definitely felt like I shouldn’t be out in public.
//I finally redesigned my blog on Saturday. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. Since I was caught up with work on the farm I just went for it and am so happy I did. This new design let’s me breathe a breath of fresh air. It’s much cleaner and simpler. The neutral color scheme also is more of my style. I’ll write a future post about my process.
//I also launched my photography business on Facebook. Once again it’s one of those things I’ve wanted to do for awhile, but haven’t. So I would love if you took the time to like my page on Facebook to keep up with me: Skylar Rain Photography
//Our pastor on Sunday talked about fear which is something I struggle with at times and lately. Basically saying don’t be afraid. Just believe. Here’s verses from Psalm 56:3-4 that resonated with me:
But when I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you.
I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me.
//Sunday we had a baby shower for my best girlfriend from high school. She’s due in the middle of August. That’s super soon! It was such a sweet time with lots of women from the community. It’s at things like this that I see the real advantage of growing up in a small town. I’ll write more on the baby shower experience later.
By the time you’ll read this my mom, sister, and I will be on the road to Austin, TX. We’ll be there for the week visiting family and enjoying our little cousins! I’ll try to post a few times on Instagram so be sure to follow me (@sky_starbuck). Have a great day!

i love the sleek simplicity of the redesign 🙂
that verse resonates with me deeply. each day i get more and more scared/terrified to move somewhere where i know nobody. i’m full of fear but trying to embrace it.

Thanks! I bought my header font from Creative Market for 19 bucks. It’s called Amelian script. I’ve used it on several things already aside from my header! You should check out their site because they have tons of great fonts!
