Thinking Out Loud// March

Hellooo party people! Today I’m linking up for Thinking Out Loud with Running with Spoons, so let’s get after it!

1.Another week of grad school is almost complete! My spring break starts on Friday and my boyfriend will be here on Saturday. Needless to say I am ready for the weekend. My boyfriend and I don’t have anything crazy planned, but I’m really looking forward to getting some time with him.

2. Anyone in the CrossFit world knows that the CrossFit Open has begun and today is the third week. Sadly, I didn’t sign up this year and I definitely regret it. There were some external circumstances that didn’t make it a wise choice at the time. Hopefully, I’ll get to hit a few of the Open workouts. There’s always next year to do the Open anyways. It’s not like I’m on the road to regionals or anything like that.

3.The season finale of the final season of Downton Abbey premiered on Sunday and I finally got to watch it all last night. It was a beautiful last episode. Everything came to a nice ending with a bright future for everyone. However, I am incredibly sad to say goodbye to the cast of Downton Abbey and the Crawley family. I have loved this show since the beginning and will miss it.

4.Eeeek! Can you believe the final episode of The Bachelor is around the corner! Who will Ben choose?! I’m rooting for Lauren B, but I would also be happy for him if it was Jojo. We’ll find out soon! Also, I thought the women tell all episode was actually really good. Most of the girls did a really good job speaking about things and apologizing if it was needed.

5.Some of my grad school friend and I went to First Friday Art Trail on the first Friday of March. A majority of the art we had seen in February was still there for March’s art trail, so it didn’t take us long to breeze through it. It’s always neat to see the wide array of people who come out for it. Lubbock is a very conservative place which is awesome, but first Friday seems to bring out the cultural/artsy side of it.

6. There have been other things going on this month that have led to March getting off to a rocky start. I’ll vaguely explain one of those things. A certain airline has made my life unnecessarily stressful and I have had to call them way too many times and talk to too many people. I always assume they finally got the situation taken care of only to wake up the next day and realize it hasn’t been. I have a lot of animosity about this situation and towards this airline.

7. I can’t end this post on a hostile note, so here’s a collage of some lovely pins I’ve pinned on Pinterest lately. I’m highly inspired visually, so this collage makes me happy and calm.

Have a great Thursday and weekend everyone!

Any weekend plans?

It’s crazy how much energy those lingering stresses can take out of us. I hope everything with that airline works itself out soon! And I hope you enjoy your spring break, girl! The weather is warming up and the sun is coming out around here — makes me feel like I have little wings on my feet 🙂

Have you tried shame-tweeting said airline? I’ve found it to be very effective!

I tweeted them twice actually! They answered one of my questions and also gave me the right number to contact. However, that was about as far as I got with that. We’ll see if off if the links to my tweets that I provided in my complaint note will pay off!
