Thinking Out Loud// April
Happy Thursday everyone!! I hadn’t planned on blogging this week or at all in the month of April, but turns out I woke up at 4 this morning and can’t go back to sleep. So let’s do some catching up on what’s been going on these past two weeks with some Thinking Out Loud.
1.If you would have asked me about grad school last week I would have sent you some type of crying/pain emoji face. It was one of those weeks where I had several things due and was more stressed than usual. But like always I survived just fine and this week has been a breeze.
2.Last week we went for new 1 rep maxes at CrossFit and I was pretty proud of myself. My new max for bench press is 110 lbs. My new front squat max is 125 lbs (up 15 lbs) and my new back squat is 135 lbs (up 10lbs). My lower back and hips have been feeling weak lately due to all the lifting we had been doing, so I didn’t really push too hard to get my back squat much higher. I hate doing 1 rep maxes, but yay for new PRs!
3.I got a new protein powder last weekend and I’m not sure how I feel about it. It’s a brand called Eat the Bear and I got the ice cream sandwich flavor. It mixes well with water, but it’s almost too sweet for me.
4.I got some headshots done last weekend by a new photographer friend for my little photography business . I decided to branch out and try wearing a new color besides just black. I’ve been obsessed with this green shirt I got from American Eagle and I know it was a solid choice. I also finally bought some real adult lipstick from Mac and love the dark maroon color that I went with. Evidently I still need to work on my lip liner skills. Once she gets them finished I’ll be sure to post a couple!
5.My family switched over to AT&T and I got a new iPhone 6s. I love it! I can finally send blue texts, be in group chats, use Facetime, and my battery lasts longer than half a day. It’s the little things in life.
6.I’ve been applying for internships for the summer and let me just say that it’s freakin stressful. I feel like my resume is lacking for the field I want to be in, so hopefully somebody wants me and gives me experience. That being said I’ve been a little stressed and worried about figuring out future things. My mind gets a little carried away at times, so I remind myself of this verse: “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34
7. I have fallen more in love with snapchat now that a lot of my favorite bloggers are on it! Taylor from The Daily Tay is one of my favorites, along with Juli from PaleOmg and Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers. They all bring a smile to my face daily!
That’s it for today! This weekend I’ll be hanging out with friends, family, and doing a photo shoot. It should be fun, but busy. Follow me on snapchat (skylarrain) and maybe I’ll post more on my story! Have a great weekend!
Tell me what you’re thinking?!
Any weekend plans?

I never went to Grad School, but it always drove me crazy when professors would all somehow schedule huge papers and projects for the same week. There has to be a better way of coordinating that!!
