There's No Place Like Home

It wasn’t until I moved away to college that I realized, how dear the place that I was born and raised is to me. My home also serves as my photography muse. I know I can always go home and find beauty in something to photograph. Today I’m joining Kiki from In Its Time for the circle link-up with September being the month for “there’s no place like home”. 

As you will see in the pictures, my Dad is in a LOT of my pictures. My Dad is a farmer. He’s been a farmer since the day he was born. It’s something that has been passed on for generations. So I’ve been raised on my family’s farm my entire life. Every summer my job has been working for my Dad on our farm. Like I said earlier my home is a huge inspiration for my photography, so I love taking my camera out when I’m out with my Dad. 
The next few photos are from around the time of wheat harvest. This year was one of the best years we’ve had since I graduated high school.

The wheat my Dad is checking out below was “chopped” for a nearby dairy that will use it for feed for their cows. 


This summer we had a lot of rain. It kept the pastures green and the roads muddy. We didn’t complain about it!



In the picture above my dad is checking out a field of milo that he had just planted. In the picture below my Dad climbed up to the top of the sprinkler in the corn fix something.


I could get real poetic about each and every one of these pictures if I had the time, but instead I’ll just say that I hope you enjoyed them. If you have any questions about them please let me know.
