Second Semester of Grad School Done!
Praise the Lord! I finally finished up my second semester of grad school! The semester flew by like a whirlwind and I really can’t believe that it’s over. Since I haven’t blogged in awhile I thought I would catch you up on the last few weeks of my life for part of Thinking Out Loud.
//Tuesday I turned in my last paper for this second semester of grad school. The past couple of weeks I’ve spent a LOT of time writing and researching and drinking iced coffee. Thankfully, CrossFit was the topic of my research paper, so that was an easy topic that I enjoyed writing about.
//One of my final projects for the semester was a group project. The past 3 weeks of school my team spent hours (like 20+) every week working on different aspects of our campaign plan. We put in a lot of hours and hard work, but we turned in something we were proud of and that made it worth it. One of my teammates is from Russia so she brought us different types of Russian candy to try every week and we brought her some type of typical American snack. Needless to say our group was on point with our snack contributions!
//At CrossFit for the past 6 weeks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we’ve been doing 1 set of 20 back squats. We’re supposed to go up every time by 5 lbs. The first week or so I did, but once I got through week 2 I’ve only been going up 5 lbs every week or so. Now I’m up to 105 lbs and it sucks. I get through the first 10 reps, but then have to really fight for the last 10. I’m hoping all these squats will pay off! The picture below isn’t of a back squat evidently, but a day of clean and jerks.
//Beyond school and working out, I’ve been hanging out with my girlfriends and that has included plenty of pizza dates and movie nights. We recently watched the new Captain America: Civil War movie and I thought it was pretty good. I’ll watch anything with Chris Evans in it.
//This past weekend my younger sister completed her first year of nursing school and received her LPN pin! I’m super proud of her and know she worked so incredibly hard this past year to get there. Anyone who is in nursing school has my respect. It’s a super hard program.
//As most of you may know, I have a little photography business on the side. I finally saved up enough money from sessions to invest in a new Nikon 610 camera body. I am beyond excited to have it in my hands and know it is what I need for all the weddings coming up this summer! Yay!
That’s about all for now! I’ll be back at my parent’s house this weekend and am looking forward to some time relaxing at home! So I’ll see y’all next time! Have a great weekend!
What have you been up to lately?

Yay for being done! I love the treat idea. Treats make anything better, especially group studying and projects.

Honestly I’m just not sure what I want to do with my life, so grad school was the best answer for me! And yes 20 at once is a lot. If we could break it up it’d be a lot better!
