Realities of Life

SkylarJanuary 15, 2015

I’m linking up with Running with Spoons today for thinking out loud. I’m sharing a few realities in my life.

Realities of life Jan. 15

-That is what my kitchen table looked like Sunday as I was planning for the week.

-The picture perfect table I arranged for my Word of 2015 post on Tuesday was set-up and taken down within 5 minutes and that above took over again.

-Monday night was spent watching The Bachelor with my girlfriends. It took priority over blogging, sleep, and healthy eating.

-Preparing for the CrossFit Open has left me sore, but I am loving having more barbell movements in my workouts.

Realities of Life 2 Jan.15

-I went to Starbucks Tuesday and got a latte and bagel, but I LEFT MY BAGEL INSIDE! I got back to school without my warm, savory, cream cheesy bagel and with tears of disappointment streaming down my face. (The tears may be a slight exaggeration.)

-I got ridiculously excited on Wednesday when I finally got a projector in my classroom. I was clapping my hands with joy. My students for sure thought I was a major nerd.

-I’ve been almost out of peanut butter all week and had been meaning to buy some. The problem is I didn’t write it out down and if I don’t write it down I don’t remember. Everyone knows that me without peanut butter is a rarity.

-Loss hit my hometown community this week. While I didn’t strike close to me, it’s still something that makes you think a little deeper about some things and for me seeking some comfort in God’s word.

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.

Psalm 81:11

You will not leave in a hurry, running for you lives. For the Lord will go ahead of you; yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind.

Isaiah 52:12

Only two more days of school and then I’ll be ready for my 3 day weekend!

What are some realities in your life this week?

I hate it when I leave something I bought at the store. For some reason it always happens to me at target.

Out of all stores Target would be a sad store to leave something at!

I know. I always notice before I walk out the door empty handed but then I have to face the embarrassment of going back and explaining I forgot again. Luckily I’ve been doing better at that lately. Thank heaven.

Ugh. Leaving your bagel is the saddest morning I could think of. 🙁

Your planning session looks like my planning sessions. Actually, since getting my Erin Condren Life Planner a week ago, I’ve become a planner junkie and actually really love spending time filling mine out and decorating it. Is that normal? 😆 I dunno, but it sure is fun and oddly satisfying.

I absolutely love writing in my planner and notebooks so yes if you’re talking to me I think that’s completely normal 🙂 if we were to ask someone else they may not agree..

how on earth are you surviving without peanut butter?! If I find I haven’t had any all day I march straight into my kitchen for a spoonful. It’s kind of sad really…

My peanut butter is almost out and I am moving our grocery shopping up just so I won’t have to go a day without it!

That is a wise move. You don’t want to risk a day without it!

Look at you!! Way to plan girl!! #organized 🙂 …and I’m SO sorry about your bagel!! That is seriously so sad… tears should NOT be considered an exaggeration! I’d be sad 🙁 …and no PB for a whole week?? I’m not a big peanut butter person so I rarely eat it… almond products on the other hand… I can’t live without my almond milk!! (okay… now I’m exaggerating!!… only not really :p)
