Oh hey, Friday// Snapchats & Squats

Oh hey, it’s Friday! Of course you likely don’t need me to tell you that unless you live in a world where Friday does not equal the weekend. Today I’m giving you a little peak into what’s going on here in my world.oh-hey-friday-snapchats1.I’ve been applying to internships for the summer and it’s an intimidating process, but I’m getting some interest. I had an interview on Tuesday and had another one on Thursday. I would love to hear back from both. So we’ll see. Keep your fingers crossed!
2.I had a senior session on Sunday and had one this morning. It does my heart good to be using my camera to capture milestone moments in people’s lives. I remember how exciting the end of senior year is. One season of your life is ending and a whole other chapter is on the horizon.   Senior sessions also serve as a reminder of how long it’s been since I was in high school.  That’s not fun to think about. oh-hey-friday-snapchats23.Maybe a Snapchat Filter is a silly thing to write about, but Snapchat filters are seriously so fun. Why can’t my face just look like a cartoon character all the time? My makeup would always be done  and I would have the perfect “contouring” too. Like I said in my last post, I love following people on snapchat, especially blogger friends to see more of their life.  (Add me on snapchat: skylarrain)oh-hey-friday-snapchat4.I’ve done pretty well with flexible dieting this week. As shown by my cart it’s all about balance. I eat pretty “healthy” all day, but I always have room for fun things like tasty cereal and yummy poptarts. Like I keep saying, one day I’ll do a more detailed post on this flexible dieting and counting macros thing. Until then let me know if you have any specific questions. 5.My body has been feeling energized and solid at CrossFit workouts this week. On Monday and Wednesday for strength we did one set of 20 squats at around 60-65% of our one rep max. Monday I did 75lbs and Wednesday I did 80lbs. 20 reps in one set sounds like no big deal, but once you’re at 10 reps you’re ready to be done. 6. As you know, I’ve been extremely inconsistent with blogging while I’ve been in grad school. The past two weeks I’ve had a little extra time to write up these blog posts, so it’s just nice to talk about little things going on in my life. Hopefully I’ll get back to deeper blogging on different topics, but no promises until it actually happens!
And if you’re still reading my blog, thanks for sticking with it. I seriously love you, whoever you are. Now I’m off to knock out some TA work  and homework before the weekend mood consumes me!

    Those snapchat filters freeeeeak me out. But not enough to use them. 🙂 Your grocery cart full of yummy things is inspiring! (And flexible dieting–did you come up with that? It’s brilliant!)
