October Favorites
October is coming to a quick and bittersweet close. Can you believe it?! Yeah I can’t either. Today’s blog post is looking back on some of my favorites from this month.
Fabrics// All things red, maroon, and plaid. I love it all and want to wear it all.
Food// My little sister celebrated her 21st birthday last weekend. So for breakfast one morning my mom made funfetti pancakes! All it took was some Funfetti cake mix and Bisquick. They basically tasted like funfetti cake only in pancake form.
We drizzled white cake frosting on top and added some sprinkles. No syrup was necessary and even peanut butter was too much (and I never say that!). This pinterest recipe was a success, but one I would have this on very rare and celebratory occasions.
Clothes// I have been obsessed with this black and white striped shirt I got from American Eagle for a solid month. I’ve worn it several times and still love it. (thanks to my lovely boyfriend for capturing these photos)
Magazine// Belong magazine is a newly published magazine for bloggers and creatives. It’s intended to inspire and connect women by giving them resources to help them find their tribe. It gave me a boost of blogging encouragement and some beautiful photos to look at!
People// One of my best girlfriends came to visit me a few weekends ago. Best friends are so necessary in life.
School// I survived my grad school mid-terms and hopefully I got good grades on those papers. Or else…. Final projects are due in about a month and I’m freaking out a little bit.
CrossFit// I PR’d my Fran time on Monday! Now Fran is not a nice lady and this workout always, always, always makes me get the hot, sick feeling in my chest and stomach like if I stopped to think about it I would hurl. Sorry that may be TMI, but that feeling doesn’t happen often. However, I persevered through it and finished in 9:06 with 65lbs. My time from the first of August was 10 minutes at 55lbs.
Fran is 21-15-9 thrusters (65lbs) and pull-ups. If anyone ever asks you if you want to do Fran just run away.
Now I’m going to get started on homework and figuring out what I want to be for Halloween on Saturday. Ugh isn’t deciding on a Halloween costume one of the hardest decisions?! Hope you have a happy weekend filled with football and Halloween candy!
Share with me some of your favorites from October!
