Hellooo Student Teaching

SkylarAugust 21, 2014

Today I’m linking up with Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud! I haven’t been blogging about my life too much lately since I just got my blog set up this week, so this gives a general run down of what I’ve been up to:

  • As of the end of Friday I will have completed my 3rd week of student teaching! Isn’t that crazy! I was so blessed to be placed with the teacher that I’m working with and the other awesome ladies I’m teaching with. I love all of the classes we’re teaching. I’m enjoying all of the almost 200 students I have in classes. And the school I’m at is amazing to say the least! first day outfit
  • I tried making coffee twice during my first two weeks of teaching and both were fails. It’s honestly too hot for me to be drinking hot coffee in the morning because it overheats me. So to get my morning coffee fix without overheating I’ve been buying cold brew Starbuck’s coffee from the grocery store (in a big jug) and fixing a cup each morning. Meaning I fill my cup up mostly with creamer and add a drizzle of coffee. Totally kidding. Well kind of. But it’s so much cheaper than having to stop somewhere to buy a cup!photo(149)
  • I’ve started back to a normal CrossFit schedule this week and it’s a bit rough, but it’s so nice to be getting back into a routine again.
  • Green chile cheeseburger. Fries. Chocolate Milkshake. This was my must-have meal after a long week of school last Friday and after getting my booty kicked at CrossFit. The caption explains the rest.photo(151)
  • Speaking of green chile I’m so happy to be back in town so I can go eat at all my favorite Mexican restaurants. I can never pass up a good meal of green chile enchiladas!first enchiladas
  • One of my best friends is coming to visit and stay with me this weekend! I’ve been sooo lonely and lame so I’m beyond pumped to see her!
  • My weekly student teaching seminar class starts tonight and I’m trying to have a positive attitude about going. After a long day of teaching going to a 2 1/2 hour class isn’t the most exciting thing that I want to do.
  • My Pinterest pinning has been on point lately. It was hard to narrow it down, but I’ll share two of my many favorites. I was instantly drawn to both the picture and the words whenever I saw them.

That’s all I have for today. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! And I’ll be back around next week!

No questions. Just give me some of your thoughts!

Girl, I love your dress. It’s gorgeous! Mmmm green chili cheeseburger. I’ve never heard of such a thing before, but it sounds delicious.

Totally off-topic, but I love your nails! Wait… I guess there can’t really be an “off-topic” on a ToL post, eh? 😉 But it’s great to hear that you’re having such a good experience student teaching! Life is so much better when you’re doing something that you really enjoy…

Glad your student teaching is going well. I like your outfit. I am a huge fan of Mexican food too.

i’m the opposite-i was doing so good hitting CrossFit 5-6 days a week and I’ve gone twice this week–I’ll attribute it to having a team competition tomorrow? but really it’s because i am unmotivated and just want to sleep :/
