Currently// January 2016
Oh hey. We’re almost a week into 2016 and I totally missed out on sharing any hopes and goals I have for 2016. Oops. It’s mostly because I’m still making them up! So today I’m linking up with In Residence and Gold and Bloom to share what I’m currently up to for the month of January.
Resolving// I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t bother to make resolutions. It seems like a good idea for the first 3 days and then I simply forget. Instead I’m doing Lara Casey’s powersheets and am working on filling them out this week. I’m planning on doing a separate posts about these power sheets because…they’re incredible. Lara Casey is incredible. That’s all I can say for now.
Reading// I’ve been catching up on reading some blog posts: 14 Genius Visual Marketing Campaigns (Please watch the squatty potty ad. It’s hilarious), 10 Easy Ways to Grow Your Instagram (This blogger never fails to crack me up. She’s a must follow on snapchat too), Why Getting Laid Off Was One of the Best Things That Has Ever Happened To Me (I can completely relate to this in some ways).
Organizing// These next two weeks before grad school starts back up again I’m working on getting organized with my photography business and my blog. There’s a lot I’d like to get done and organized before the chaos of school takes back over.
Loving// I’m visiting my boyfriend this week and next, so of course I’m loving my time with him.
Craving// I woke up 45 minutes ago with a grumbling stomach that would not let me sleep. So I had one cup of Reeses Puffs cereal (okay maybe two cups). Once I start eating Reeses Puffs it’s hard to stop, so now I remembering why I never buy them. I think Reese Puffs is a cereal I’ll always crave at any time.

I do the same thing with that cereal! If I have it in the house, I will eat it until it’s gone, usually in like 2 days.

That’s what happen if I ever buy any kind of sugary cereal! Glad I’m not the only one!

Your blog is gorgeous!!! Seriously. I love your design and lay out and the colors (or lack there of) that you went with! 🙂 What font do you use for the body of your posts?
I make resolves about once every season or so. They are manageable and measurable goals that can be boiled down to a task or two to make them happen. That approach to resolutions was a game changer. They are based on my day to day life as well as my current roles and responsibilities.
I’ve gotten back into a blog reading routine lately too! There has been SO MUCH good stuff shared over the last month or so. I didn’t realize how much I was missing my time with my friends around blog land!
Organizing…It’s never ending and sooo rewarding! Good luck.
Yay for time with your boyfriend. Enjoy that too!!!
And, don’t EVEN get me started on Reese’s Puffs….I could eat a BOX of those by myself. LOL!

Thanks girl! I love the simplicity of my design too! I think the font for my body text is Baskerville, but I’m not 100% sure. I absolutely love it! Making resolutions for every season seems like a really great idea too that would definitely be more manageable.

I think you might be right!!! I was working on Illustrator for a few hours this morning and was trying to settle on a font for a project. Baskerville caught my eye and I thought to myself, “THIS is the name of that font I’m always going crazy about.” For whatever reason, it always grabs my eye and makes reading EASY.

Stopping by from the linkup! I’m going to have to go check out these powersheets you’re talking about. I don’t make resolutions because I also forget about them a few weeks after making them, but these sound awesome.

Andre champagne (pink, regular, ANY KIND) is MI FAVORITO. Ahh. So good. Also, Reese’s Puffs cereal is the freaking best. Good luck with all the organizing before grad school starts 🙂

The Squatty Potty! I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never seen that commercial. It’s so awkwardly hilarious. And, being in the marketing industry, I love all of those campaigns so much. Enjoy those Reeses Puffs!

I think cereal is one of those foods that can just be eaten endlessly! Reading: I’m not technically reading it yet, but I just ordered a book off Amazon that tells a story about a woman with dissociative identity disorder, which seems relevant because I’m taking an Abnormal Psych class!
