Currently// December

december-currently-9
Today I’m linking up with In Residence and Gold and Bloom for the December edition of currently to share what I’m wishing, remembering, wrapping, baking and decorating lately.

Wishing// I’m wishing I didn’t have whatever quality that makes me procrastinate. Stress from finals is weighing down on me this week. The coffee and new mercies saying on my coffee cup above is needed in abundance.

Remembering// What I was feeling this time last year when I was a little over a week away from graduating from college. I was worried and questioning what I would be doing after graduation. It’s crazy how much can change in such a short time span of a year. Things definitely didn’t play out like I envisioned. God had a better plan in mind!

Wrapping// No actual Christmas wrapping is going on here…yet. I’m busy wrapping up the end of my first semester of grad school! By Friday afternoon I’ll be done and can get busy shopping.

Baking// I’ll be baking pumpkin bread as soon as I get some free time this weekend or next week. My Mom’s recipe is my all-time favorite. I haven’t found a close comparison yet. Pumpkin bread always reminds me of Thanksgiving and Christmas time, so it needs to make an appearance in my mouth.

Decorating// I love my little apartment and getting to decorate it for Christmas. Since I’m only here for the first couple weeks of December, I didn’t go super crazy with the decorations. I put out a little baby tree, a gold reindeer, and some greenery. I get weirdly excited thinking about full out decorating my own house someday. (Is this a sign I’m turning into a true adult?)

That’s it for today. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

    oh i love that mug!
good luck on the procrastination! i used to be really bad at that and one night had to pull an all-nighter in college because i waited until the night before a paper was due – wrote it, then my computer erased it – and i had to write it again! talk about stress! i feel you!

enjoy the decorating! i need to get on that at my home!

Omg. Just thinking about pulling an all nighter only to have my computer erase my paper is so stressful! Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen to me. I’m not an all-nighter type of person. My mind reaches a certain point at night where it no longer works, so I got to bed and get up super early instead. Thanks for stopping by!

Good luck with finals! Sounds like the pumpkin bread baking will be a perfect reward when it’s over 🙂 Thanks for linking up!

I never thought I’d say this, but I miss college! I graduated a little over a year ago, and would totally take all the stress and final exams over again!
