Hello there!! It’s Friday so grab your cup of coffee and join me for a little coffee date hosted by Jenna from Gold and Bloom. To be real I never sit on my white bedding to drink my coffee. That’s potentially a really dangerous situation, but it makes for a nice picture.
Highs//
I’m going home this weekend! That means time with family and time eating lots of good food that I don’t cook for myself.
It’s been rainy and the temperature is finally cooling off here this week. Overcast and cooler weather calls for cool socks like in my picture above. I’m so awesome I know.
This one sounds super lame, but I feel like I’m starting to kind of making friends in grad school and at CrossFit. Moving to a new place where you don’t really know anyone is difficult in the social aspect (more than people let on). Enough time has gone by where I’m starting to get comfortable with people and vice versa and it’s kinda nice.
I spontaneously got to see my boyfriend last weekend. I didn’t think I’d get to see him until December or sometime later, so the few days we had together was a real treat.
Lows//
Mid-terms. Bleh. It’s not really even a low, but it’s kept me busier than normal. It’s not like I have hard intense tests to study for either. Two of my mid-terms are take home essay questions, so they aren’t bad they just take a lot of time and a lot of real hard thinking.
I was hoping to do some photo sessions this weekend at home, but sadly I won’t have any. It is majorly my fault for being so last minute in my marketing and it’s just a super busy weekend for people. I was really looking forward to getting some practice in with people, but that’s okay. It’s probably saving me some stress later on down the road.
I feel like this is one of the most boring blog posts I’ve ever written. There just isn’t much going on in my life. I go to school and work and go to CrossFit. That’s it. Oh, and I eat a lot.
Maybe you’ll have something more thrilling to tell me.
Share some of your highs and lows from the week!

Grad school and crossfit are big deals! That is busy. I used to do crossfit when I lived in the states and it’s a lot of work. I’m glad your making friends where you are at.

I totally relate to the making friends in a new place one. And idk about you, but everyone in my grad school classes was from the area and I wasn’t (like hundreds of miles wasn’t) so they already had an established life and it was kinda hard to break into. BUT I still made some besties that I still talk to since moving away again, you’ll get it!

I had to double check that I didn’t write this comment myself! That’s exactly how it is here. Everyone is from here and did undergrad here, so I’m a total newbie! It really is getting better though and will with time.

It has rained here the last couple of days and has been really cool and overcast…usually people would hate this weather…but I love it! I’ve finally broken out the thick scarves and socks at night. I also giggled at you saying you actually don’t drink coffee on your white bedding…love your honesty! I wouldn’t chance it either. I am too clumsy!

On my walk down campus this morning I realized I’m going to have to start wearing scarves to warm up my neck and face! But like you I’m loving the transition to cool weather!

Making friends after a move is super hard! I’m experiencing this (again) right now and it’s definitely one of the more challenging parts of being somewhere new.

Yes it for sure is, but comments like yours make me realize that I’m not the only one struggling with it!
