April Favorites

As of today April has officially come to an end. Let’s take a look at some of my favorites from this busy month!

Outfit// First things first I’m not a fashion blogger, but sometimes I try. If you know me you know I love to wear black. I can wear black everyday. This month I’ve worn this ensemble often.

Jewelry// Normally I don’t get too excited about jewelry, but I’ve been in love with this layered gold necklace my Mom got me. Can I tell you where she got it? Nope. I have no idea. 

 

Fitness// This month in CrossFit our competitor training has us squatting like crazy. Every day we’re doing either front squats or back squats or both. I can already tell I’m getting stronger and am able to lift more. Plus, squats=booty and who doesn’t want a better booty?!

Photo// About a week ago I got to take college senior pictures for one of my beautiful best friends from home. This was one of my favorites. 

Song// Believe by Mumford & Sons. Sadly this song is already all over the radio, so I’m not exposing you to anything really unique. But man a good Mumford & Sons song does the soul.

TV Show// Season 7 of Mad Men is on Netflix! So that’s what I do on a wild Friday night is lay on the couch and watch Mad Men. So far I’ve been impressed with Don Draper’s behavior. Even at season 7 I’m still trying to figure out why I still like him.

Place// The first week in April I was in San Diego for a high school media competition. I fell in love with San Diego and cannot wait to go back someday!

Pinterest// I don’t know about you, but I think I’ve seen a decline in my friends using Pinterest. Most of the time it’s other bloggers who are pinning now. Anyways, Pinterest is so good to me that I just have to do a collage of multiple favorites.

 

Scripture// At my church we’ve been focusing on Matthew 5:14-16 to remind us to be a light to those around us.

You are the light of the world–like  a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights  lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
