A Weekend of Firsts Part 2: Justine’s Wedding

SkylarJune 18, 2013

This past weekend I got to go to my first wedding for a sorority sister! My pledge class sister Justine got married in Lubbock this past Saturday, June 15, 2013.

After my Mom and I ran on Saturday we went home and I got ready to head to Lubbock. The wedding was at 4:30 Texas time and I got to our hotel at 3:30! I cut it a little close! Anyways, I quickly got ready and then my sisters and I were out the door to head to the Chapel.

That picture is a little crooked! Anyways, it was a simple and cute Catholic chapel.

After the ceremony we went to the Lubbock Country Club for the reception. The cocktail area was gorgeous and the decorations were beautiful, especially the flowers.

Once we moved upstairs to the actual reception area I was once again blown away by how gorgeous and sophisticated the decorations and setting was.

They had a popcorn bar for the guest gift!! It was such a great idea and the perfect gift for a group of hungry girls!

Every detail of this wedding was perfect! The bride was beautiful like always and was radiating with joy, happiness, and love. You could tell that her and her new husband were head over heels in love with each other (you would hope so!).

I really don’t know what else to say about the wedding…I’ll have to work on my wedding recap writing. Hopefully the pictures do the job of describing the wedding and give you a glimpse of what my weekend was like.

For upcoming fall recruitment reasons I can’t post all the group photos and they had the pictures of the bride in them, but I do have pictures with my best friends. All 6 of us stayed together. It was a blast!fab 5 1

The reception was really sweet and a lot of fun. The food was delicious too!

It was so nice to be re-united with my ZTA sisters and for a little while it felt like we were back at school living our normal college lives together.

(Annnddd it sucks not being 21 when the rest of your friends are 21. Simply for the reason of not being able to go to special places with them. Just sayin’.)

Like always, the weekend flew by and before we knew it we were saying good bye and going our separate ways after eating breakfast. Soon enough summer will end and we’ll all be headed back to school for our senior year together!

One wedding down. Two more to go! Next wedding is this Saturday!

Are you going to any summer weddings?
